Chair & Treasurer
Cathy is a retired teacher, real estate agent and travel author/journalist. As co-founder of Clarendon House Canada, Cathy develops the organization's refugee settlement policies, budgets and fundraising strategy. Cathy holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Fekadu Desta
Application Manager
Fekadu is a Veterinary Epidemiologist and has volunteered at the Toronto Humane Society. He has worked as an assistant professor at the Wollo University, Ethiopia. Fekadu holds D.V.M. and MSc in Tropical Veterinary Epidemiology from Addis Ababa University.
Dr. Gillian Gibbon
Director
Gillian is a veterinarian and Medical Director at CityVet Alliance Inc.. Gillian has volunteered at the Glencove Animal Shelter in NYC, Toronto Animal Services and has appeared on media platforms including CP24 Animal Housecalls and CTV News. Gillian holds an Hons. BS.c from the University of Guelph and earned a D.V.M. degree from Ross University.
Lenny Foreht
President
Lenny is a veteran Bay Street corporate finance executive. He is currently the CEO of CityVet Alliance Inc., a company focused on investing and operating animal hospitals in the GTA.. As co-founder of Clarendon House Canada, Lenny focuses on overall strategy and fundraising initiatives. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an Hons. B.A. in Global Affairs.
Nicodeme Mugisho-Deme
Director
Nicodeme is a physician and trained health care professional with international and Canadian clinical and non clinical experiences that focuses on services that target malnourished children. He has created and manages an organization of more than 200 International Medical Graduates seeking residency positions in Canada. Paul is General Manager at Makers - an innovation and production consultancy. He’s an growth-minded leader with a 20-year track record in advertising and brand management. He's worked across numerous business segments including CPG, finance, retail, technology, automotive, government, and not-for-profit. Paul is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
